Vista Medical Center is Hiring a RN First Assistant Near Waukegan, IL
Evaluates perioperative patients and plans, implements and documents surgical nursing care. Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon. Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
- Requires an RN state of Illinois
- Requires certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA),
- Requires certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR),
- Requires least 2 years of operating room experience.

Qualifications, Desired Skills, and Experiences:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology school – certification required
- One month of job-related experience and/or training as a first assist.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers – CPR certification required
- On-call & Call-in support is required
- 3-5 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
